So one definition for coconut suggests it's a fruit:

Wondering if coconut is exotic enough? One of my favorite dishes is sticky rice with coconut milk and bananas. Great combination.

Blood orange. I've seen a few recipes that use this for sauces and once had eggs benedict made with a blood orange hollandaise sauce.
I would classify it as tropical, which, in my mind is exotic...
